Students at college seminar

Students in every grade are enrolled in college advisory classes to learn academic skills needed for sucess and to learn about every step leading to the college application process. Juniors and seniors work on creating their resumes and personal statements and get individualized feedback. Seniors are walked through every step of college application and financial aid application processes.

As a part of the HSGC core curriculum, students are encouraged to further their knowledge of local and global issues as well as their own personal interests by taking part in semester long career readiness activities. The Careers in Focus program is made up of experiences such as career days, professional panels, job shadowing days and internships which serve to not only give students first hand knowledge of issues of concern to them, but will enable them to gain important professional experience and prepare them for the work world.
