At the High School for Global Citizenship, we provide a rigorous education supplemented by many enriching experiences outside the classroom including community service, trips to colleges and conferences, and travel abroad.




  • Four AP courses offered

    • We offer AP Calculus, US History, English Literature & Composition, English Language & Composition


  • The "College Now" program with Medgar Evers College allows our students to earn college credits in the summer time and throughout the year. Students have taken college classes in English, Biology, Psychology, Theater, and other areas. Many of our students earned college credits that are transferable to many other colleges and universities.


  • Many students also take courses at other colleges and universities, such as LIU and Monroe College.


  • Internships are offered to students through the Pencil Fellows Program in various fields including law and business. 


  • Challenging elective courses including Computer Science and Principles of Biomedical Science.
